Hunting near Wabasha

I just bought a park model home on the Mississippi river in Wabasha and wanted to start hunting the surrounding area.I enjoy bow hunting and waterfowl hunting.I know Whitewater park is near Wabasha, but does anybody have any other suggestions where I could go for some good hunting on public or private land? Thanks!

there are numerous piecies of state land in down here in s.e minn. get yourself a state atlas and start exploring not much for waterfowl hunting away from the river being we have no #$%& lakes. my single biggest complaint with living down here. but there is some decent land to bow hunt away from white water(my opinion a good place to avoid)

96trigger thanks for your reply !I hunted near Cannon Falls and Red Wing and know the hills and bluffs can be a challenge but also very rewarding .Thanks again for taking the time and sharing the info !
