Maytag Electric Dryer

Performa Model Heavy Duty 7 cycle

No heat at all- dryer turns on and tumbles.

Think it is a simple remove and replace heating element or our there other steps I could look at first?

Make sure you check your breaker switch first, the dryer is on a 230 volt breaker and if 1/2 of that is tripped the dryer will run but won't heat.

Make sure that the hose is not full

of lint. If it is clogged, it won't

blow warm air. Check the end on the outside

of the house too.

Very possible it's an element, but there other things it could be also. If you have access to a volt meter, you can test the parts and determine which is bad. That dryer has a couple of safety thermostats that are bad once they are tripped. Usually trip from plugged venting or air flow restriction.
