Powerstroke
Last year was the first year of this hunt. I didn't hear anything about it from the people I know so either it was really good or really bad. I would suggest contacting the Conservation Officer in the area or maybe look up the contact info for the WMA and talk to the area manager. USPENAMC
we do have to attend a mandatory meeting on the 2nd or 3rd to get our pass. Their HSOforum has alot of helpfull maps but there is nothing like setting foot in the area and scouting. Was also wondering if anyone from the forum was there last year and how it went for them. Like someone said either it was really good or really bad.
Norsky
I was selected for the hunt also. I've been studying the satelite maps from Google so far. Looks like a fair amount of open land, but there's a lot of it. I'm hoping there's some nice deer in there. There will be a fair amount of us in there (at least 60). I'm not sure how they'll split us all up. I wish I had more info... See you at orientation-
USPENAMC
see you there on thursday my brother and I applied as a team and we both got in. I dont plan to be out there on opener ill probably have my wife take a few days off during the week when i know a nice front is moving in or something is changing with the weather. Hopefully i can beat the crowd a bit. working overnights has its perks especially hunting times of the year

I assume everyone will show up for opener but then only a few of us will continue hunting. looks like some nice areas though.
