striped winch gears

the winch on my 07 polaris striped out can pull the rope out when power in is on. would it be better to get a new winch or get the polaris winch fixed.

Have you taken it apart? Usually its not the gears that strip its the freewheeling mechanism that is fouled up. Usually full of dirt and mud. I would take it apart an see what you find.

The black Polaris winches are junk IMO. Get rid of it and get yourself a Warn.

My warn did the same thing. Took it apart called warned and sent me the parts in 3 days free of charge. Just remember how u took it apart. Its easy
