Small Bullheads

They should work just fine. The walleyes have been hammering those smaller bullies lately as well....always a nice bonus. Trading is completely fair game. Are you looking to trade for anything specifically?

I have 100+ small bullheads in the 2-5" range, will these work for Channels?

Bullheads that size make good cut bait. Take a scissors and just cut off the head right behind the gill plate and snip off the tail and you have a perfect hunk of cut bait. I use about a 5/0 circle hook and just hook on the cut chunk leaving as much of the hook exposed as possible. This hunk of cut bait leaves a good scent trail - every 15 to 20 minutes replace the chunk with a fresh one to keep the scent trail going. If you don't have a hit within about 5 to 10 minutes move the bait around in the area you are fishing. Sometimes moving the bait just a few feet right or left can trigger a hit.
