Our Catelpa Tree

We have 3 of these in the back yard and the biggest is at about 95% full bloom. Yesturday was too cloudy and last night it rained so I was hoping I'd be able to get a good shot this a.m. 8:40 this a.m. was just right. Awesome tree for a few days and then comes the big mess when all the flowers look like snow around the tree.

Nice pics. I have one of these in my back yard and did not know what it was until now! Ours is (was?) in full bloom and the ground below is starting to turn white. I love the tree but it sure does make a mess with it's flowers, big leaves, and little bean pod things.

Thought of your photo as I walked the dog last night--under two catalpa trees. Those are amazing blossoms, aren't they?
