A Call for Drums

Recommended Posts

i too think its a hybrid. but definately part green sunfish. likely a green/ pumpkin seed hybrid.

i got a couple pure greens that were right at the pound mark. 10" even on my float tubes ruler

annie battle has TONS of species of sunnies, bluegill, pumpkins, greens, and all the hybrids in between

Looks like a hybrid b/t a bluegill and a pumpkin to me. The coloration on it's gills is pure pumpkin, but it's got that bluegill look to it

definately not a bluegill/ pumpkin.

i have caught TONS of those.

they tend to be very bluegill shaped, a mouth slightly larger or smaller than normal but not much, with a pumpkinseeds pattern.

another hybrid, mouth much different though

definately a green in that one, no where near pure bred green. it could be a total mutt of the panfish species. hybrid of a green and a bluegill pumpkin hybrid? 1/4 bluegill, 1/4 pumpkin, 1/2 green? by the mouth i am quite certain she is mostly green. but with the hybridization the mouth usually shrinks a bit.
