0 PerchJerker
I have an Icom and love it. Icom radios have a great track record and do great in water and vibration tests. The main reasons I picked the one I have is because it has a large, clear speaker that I can understand even when running with my big outboard, and because there are channel up/down buttons on the mic. 0 Northlander
Many good brands out there. Get one with channel 16, weather and channel preset options. One thing is to get a good solid antena and the longer the better. I recomend the Shakespear Galaxy 8' 5225XT. Uniden, Humminbird, Icom, Lowrance and Raymarine all have good radios.Russ at Marine General in Duluth has a ton of knowledge about these radios and antena's. Give him a call if ya have questions.
