I have a 92 Subaru. The voltage gauge on it normally runs in the same position. It now fluctuates. When the electical load is light and the revs are high it runs toward 18 volts. When a higher load is placed on the system or at idle it runs around 12 volts. I am kind of thinking the alternator is going bad or maybe a loose wire. I am also thinking that the voltage regulator being electronic would either work or not work. I am just looking for some opinions. Thank You.
