HugoBox
Marc - I think I saw a photo from you on a different message board with a WBL ski that had a messed up beak. I think I know that fish and may have a crappy picture of it from the back to compare to yours. I think I messed its mouth up too but its a bit emabarrassing. Can't wait to slime up the net you sold me!!-erik
50inchpig
Hey Erik, how ya doin? I knew someone would recognize her sooner or later. She ate a surface bait last September about 10 feet from the boat. Post your pic when you get a chance. You'd think her beak problem would hinder her breathing but she was in good health. Anyone who says they handled their first couple of fish well is a liar anyway, at least she was release by you to be caught again, by me. I should be fully relocated by musky opener, I've still got your number and we'll hit it up a few times in June and beyond. Funny, Everyone here in the cites sees the musky stickers on my truck and asks "You ever go over to Wisconsin? They've got a bunch of musky lakes within a hour of Minneapolis!" HugoBox
I'll try to locate the picture but in September 2007 the fish I caught was 44" - does that seem about right? I believe the nose job is the result of a boga-grip gone bad. First and last time I used it. Not proud ot it but I'd like to think my style has improved since then. We have to fish together for sure this summer.Let me know when you're totally moved to town.-erik
mrklean
think that was from being caught before??
50inchpig
44" was what I measured, but I don't use the most accurate methods, so there's a chance. You'd think she'd grow 2 inches at least in a year. Fish had some weird different shaded areas, kind of like patches on the skin, lots of various netbag and other scars. You can't really tell from the picture with the sun shining on the fish but it was one of the goofier looking ones I've seen.
