Bulldawgs, Curly Sues, Etc w/ leaders

What kind of leaders are people using for these baits? I've started using a straight wire leader, as the clear mono leaders tended to make them run on their sides. Anyone else have this problem?

I'm liking the heavy floro leaders for most everything. I have not had any problem with side running on my dawgs or super d's.

about the only thing that should make them run to the side is if the bait is bent or your snap is messed up.

i use a solid wire leader which lets you snap correct mosttangles instead of ruining the cast. the floro leadersw will not pop off the hook tangles like the wire and you'll waste more casts.

Aside from getting a "dawgball" on the cast occassionally, i'm using flouro leaders for everything except my jerkbait/wtd setup. I won a pile of the stealth one's last year and have zero complaints with them!

I use stealth leaders for these also and no complaints. Very few fouled casts.

Must be the snap on the fluoro leaders I've been getting at Gander. I'll have to head up to Thorne Brothers and get some new ones.
