Youth hunting.

Recommended Posts

Thanks guys but I finally found the right page about the age. This came from the HSOforum under general requirements. 12+ must have hunters safety but you can't get it till that age so anyone under 12 can hunt as long as they have a regular license.

Minimum Age – There is no minimum age to hunt waterfowl, but anyone under age 15 afield with firearms must be under direct supervision of a parent, guardian, or adult authorized by their parent or guardian.

ND lifted most of their hunting age restrictions a few years ago.

One point you need to follow is your second comment ... under 15 the youth must be directly supervised at all times by an adult. You cannot leave him alone even for a few minutes. If it just you two and you are going to get the truck and he wants to lay in the blind ... case the guns or carry them out with you.
