nllumberco
I'd love to know how you guys did. I fished Half Moon on Friday night and Balsam this morning and the only thing I can tell you is both lakes have really healthy populations of small perch. Nick Kuhn
On Cedar we got one dink of a crappie, and everything else was tight lipped all day. Saw a few game fish cruising on the camera right at dawn, but the activity level of even the little guys just died as the day went on. Nick Kuhn
I did the contest on Magnor today and the fish were active. Panfish and bass were loving the waxies, so a bite wasn't the issue. The issue was fish were constantly on the move and with all the people on the lake you couldn't move to follow them. Caught fish as shallow as 7 and as deep as 24. nllumberco
I found Balsam to be really slow from 8 AM until 1 PM. I drilled about 100 holes and marks were hard to come by and only caught a couple small sunfish. Fished shallow weeds and searched 28-32 feet of water for crappies. Then I headed to Half Moon and started shallow and there were fish in 8 ft but biters were hard to come by. Slid out to 18 ft and the fish were moving through and from 2 PM to about 6 PM I ended up keeping about a dozen decent sunfish and crappies. Blood red was the hot color. GSP4ME
DId pretty good on Balsam on Sunday. Fished down by the power lines and in about 11 feet of water. 9 real nice gills and half a dozen crappie around 10 inches had a lot of little ones mixed in as well. Got cut by two northerns
