Wish-I-Were-Fishn
My daughter's iPad is full and she wants to unload some content (TV shows) from the iPad into iTunes. She did a sync (iTunes on PC) and they are showing up now in iTunes, so far so good. How does she now remove some items from the iPad without losing them forever? I'm assuming they will stay in her iTunes, but if she does a sync again it is going to try to put everything back on the iPad, and she won't have the space, correct? Not interested in hearing about other hardware storage options at this time. delcecchi
There is a little box in front of the item in itunes. If unchecked it doesn't copy to the device when syncing.
Wish-I-Were-Fishn
Not in mine. Looks like the new version doesn't have that.
delcecchi
OK, another reason not to update. That would be a pain since I have more than will fit my device. You could put the files you want to sync in a playlist and do a "manual sync" where you just drag the playlist to the device. Or export from itunes to a file. Or leave it on iCloud. I have now exhausted my expertise...
jwhjr
Not in mine. Looks like the new version doesn't have that. I'm on the newest version and it still gives you the option to check/uncheck what you want to sync. I have mine set to manually manage what goes on though.
