Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Revo Toro question

Recommended Posts

So I just picked up this reel and was looking it over and going through the manual. One of the pictures in the manual is the magnetic spool braking system, located on the side of the reel that the clicker is. I can't seem to get the cover off of the braking system, is it supposed to just pop off? Just curious on how that comes off. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, i'm hesitant to take a screwdriver to it quite yet.

the little screw that runs all the way across the spool will make it possible for you to get in there. I know this because mine loosened up on its own and my levelwind stopped working because some of the gears weren't engaging due to that being open.

Sorry the terms aren't technical but it's that long silver screw that runs across the top of your spool.

Bronze is spot on. If your really getting in there...I might suggest taking photos as you disassemble to know how things go back together. I know I've dealt with issues on other reels in the past and having the photos to look back on when assembling back together made it a lot easier. Good luck. I love my Toro.

When removing the cover, make sure you do it well inside the boat, unlike Shimano reels, the cover comes completely off. Last thing you want is to drop the cover in the lake accidentally.

    • Sounds like someone's talking to much! Lol
    • I'd try those!!  don't save any for Glenn!!!
    • One of these years...
    • We live in town in the Twin Cities metro area.  We've had a female Red Breasted Grosbeak in our feeder for a couple weeks. Don't remember ever having them before. And just one? When does that ever happen with Grosbeaks?
    • Sorry, but his 60 some RBI for someone who's hitting over .300 is exceptionally low.  Especially for the number of games he's played.
    • @MJ1657 That was good for a chuckle over breakfast.  I heard you might've had a less than flawless day yourself.
    • Sounds good to me! Maybe blanch quick then into ice water like tomato's to get that skin off first....
    • I've never tried it but maybe a guy could peel the beets, cold smoke for a couple hours in a disposable aluminum pan. Then crank up the heat and cover with foil to cook tender. Maybe they would bleed out  without skins? Any juices could go right into the mix. I have plenty of beets to experiment with, I'm going to have to try it now. Smomed pickled beets mmmm!
    • Weather was perfect up here! cloudy, drizzly, 55 degrees. we shot quite a few ducks, geese. The first hour was solid. Lots of birds around, but then as usual it died down. I was surprised at the amount of hunters out there on this WPA considering it was a 1/2 mile hike to get to it.  Left at 9:00 when my son got cold. Will be looking at getting a game cart to haul all the gear back and forth. Maybe try it again next weekend before I get serious on bow hunting......
    • My son and I got 9. Should have had our limit. Lot of teal zipping around! Lot of mosquitos too!!
