Boat Trailer Bunks...

Has anyone tried using a composite piece of 2x4 for their boat bunks? Don't you think they would last longer than a treated 2x4?

I would think they would last longer. Be more expensive and be heavier but I don't think the weight would be that substantial.

Another benefit would be it would not twist or warp like treated some times do. I plan on using composite when I get around to replacing my bunks.

Just be careful if theyt are not supported every two feet atleast they are really weak.
