LMFlyin
I reported our reports last season and plan to do it again on this site. Time is approaching when our first fishermen start to roll in. Will advise soon as I get some reports to post. What I intend on doing is reporting just on this thread of the reports. How I gather the reports, when we fly the group out at the end of the trip, they fill out a report and Ill post what they have to say. Stay tuned if interested. paul pachowicz
L&M, I don't suppose you have any ice reports for Pickle lake, do you?
LMFlyin
Hello Paul, I can not say exactly. Depends exactly where from Pickle your talking. We've got camps straight to the west of Pickle and as of yesterday one of our camps was completely out and the other was about 1/2 out. Lake St. Joe still had plenty of ice out in the big open basins. Very windy though today should be breaking more ice up. Last night our Dobie lake camp called via sat phone, about 8 oclock pm had about 6 inches of snow up to that point.
paul pachowicz
L & M..thanks. I talked to some folks in Armstrong, Ontario and was told Lake McKenzie was open but not sure of anything in the Fort Hope area and north. We are suppose to fly out on the 30th. Outfitter is still in Thunder Bay. I think it is gonna be close again this year.

snagger
Onemore,We just got back from Sioux Lookout. Fished the Crooked Rapids area. The fish are still spawning. The water is cold (40 degrees). If the weather warms up you will do well. There are some nice fish to be caught right now.
onemore
Thanks! It seems like a colder spring so far this year. In years past this has meant bigger pike and slower walleye action. If the water warms a bit it could be crazy up there. I can't wait.

Could not find a better operation (20 years of trips coming north). Walleye fishing was spectacular in the outlet with 100 fish per man common! The woodchuck in camp kept the older AARP members of our camp entertained through out the week. Nice work Larry, Mary, and Shane! We will return!! LMFlyin
Lake: AustinDates: 5/25/09-5/31/09Group: BuddenhagenReport: Weather was cold and windy most days which made fishing interesting. The main inlet to the lake produced fewer fish than other years due to the weather conditions, but most points held fish. The inlet did net Shane his biggest northern to date. 42 inch, wow! The portage lakes were rock solid again this year netting the most fish and the largest walleye. Shane also topped his biggest walleye with one just shy of 26 inches. Thanks L & M
