MARINERMAGNUM
Listening to and watching photography podcasts during slow times and lunch at work sure make the day alot more enjoyable these days! It can also be a valuable source for inspiration when you're in a lull. Viewing others work and listening to their tips can save you alot of hassle with a challenging exposure. For myself, listening to one episode in particular [plus a little practice] made my 1st wedding shoot a breeze. It's hard to believe that some of these pros who've been at it for 30-40 years will spill all their tips and tricks to whoever will listen-for free!I would list the best-and some other good ones but I'm not sure if that is considered "linking" so I'll let the mods decide.Anyone else listen to these type podcasts? Dbl
I have one or two that I have listened to that are primarily sports and lighting related. You know when you are confident in your abilities to produce quality work and have something to share I don't feel you are giving away all your tricks. There is much more to great photography than just numbers and technique. The best work for me stands on its own by having a creative vision that others don't see. Something that is very hard to teach. I've seen beautiful, technical photos that just don't jump out at you because they lacked an emotion or something to grab you.
