Carrot Stick Rods

Anybody heard much, or used one of these new orange rods? I saw them at Gander and was curious if they're worth the price.

There is a thread about them in "Bass" from a few weeks back. And believe it or not they are made with carrot fibers, haha kinda cool I think but idk if I'd drop $150+ just for that reason.

Most of the people I have talked to about them say they are worth the price but not any more than any other rod that is $150

I messed around with one and didn't like it. There are a lot better rods out there for that price.

I haven't used one myself but know a couple pros that just rave about them for bass and for dropshotting.

I have played with a few of them in the shop at Thorne Bros and they are crazy light. I have what I need right now, but if they were on sale and I needed a new rod, I would try one out. A couple years ago they were more of an enthusiast/novelty rod, but they have expanded the arsenal and there are applications to cover just about everything for bass fishing now. Some would even double for walter rods, and the swimbait versions would probably do alright throwing some muskie baits.
