IceIceBaby
What brand of spinner do you like for bottom bouncing? For crawlers, do you like 2 or 3 hook rigs? I saw a fishing show today where they were using revolution hydraflow spinners with fluoro leaders. But, JB lures have a similar spinners for a buck less, but no fluoro leader. Also, what size spinners do you like? Thanks,Al
Cicada
I don't get that hung up on having a flourocarbon leader when bottom bouncing. I feel this is a power trolling method and the leader is following a big lead weight on a thick wire. If they are going to get spooked by non-flouro, the bottom bouncer itself might scare them off. I tend to look for spinners with better and smaller hooks, especially with the three hook 'crawler harness. As far as size, the clearer the water, the smalle the spinner. I do like the JB setups. saunasisu
What I did last year that produced results was, 14 pound Cajun leader (24"-48")with a slow death hook. Stained water I used a little larger blade and clear water - smaller. I also added a "smiley" blade with the slow death hook which worked very well. I like to use orange and red beads holographic blades.
