I think it is more common today than say 30 years ago when most shot with fingers or tabs. With the let offs on today's bows and most shooting with releases coupled with the light gathering optics of smaller pins and peep sights there is a greater degree of stability and accuracy in shooting today.

I like to play a game at the range me and a friend take turns with the first shot and the other trys to shoot their arrow it's a game we created with our sick little minds we call it arrow hunting and the winner still has arrows left at the end of the round.
