New KVD Composit Rods 7' 10"

Has anyone looked at these new rods? Thoughts? They seem to be very light wondering if they would work for Traps if you could snap out of the grass. You sure could cover some water with that length.

Pherris, they seem to be nice rods. I was going to pick one up but factored in that I don't really need to be spending lots of dough on a crank rod. The rod seems to be light with a very nice action. I did pick up a PT Energy Tour (something like that) at the show for half price. Seems to be a nice rod. I'm sure it won't dissapoint!

wow, that length is approaching half the length of my boat. That's crazy. Next thing you know rod lockers will start at the back of the boat to accomadate the increasing length of rods. Can you imagine how to get it home from the store in a car?

I recently picked up a 7'-9" Shimano Clarus MH casting rod and it fit just fine in the Tauras. Now, 6" longer and I might have had a problem.

Much easier to get in the SUV then it was to sneek into the house so my wife would not see it
