riverside
Looking for some info. I am looking at different portable and hand held GPS units for open water and ice fishing. I have used the H2Oc before. my only problem is the screen size is small. I dont have the budget to spend on the big screen GPS units. I seen the Lowrance XOG at the big "C", with a little nicer price tag. This has alittle bigger screen 3.5" compared to the H2Oc. My question is does anybody have one and do they like them on water? Thanks for any info.
PerchJerker
I think the XOG is a lot of unit for the money. You're giving up a few things compared to the H2Oc, like being weatherproof instead of waterproof and having an internal rechargeable battery instead of replaceable batteries, and no waas. But overall it's a great unit and you get some nice features too, auto or outdoor use, color touch screen, takes Nav or LM cards, etc. And like you say the price is nice! You can check them all out HERE.
