hunter101 Posted March 22, 2009 Share Posted March 22, 2009 my wheeler was workin fine all winter, last weekend i went to start it and it was dead. i didnt leave anything on. i did use it in the rain fishing last week. now i can jump it to start it but it will only run awhile then quit. the battery is only a year old. but wont hold a charge, could it be the battery or do i have deeper problems? Gissert Posted March 22, 2009 Share Posted March 22, 2009 Honestly, it is likely the battery. When I got my 02 Sportsman, the stock battey did the same thing after 18 months. I troubleshot everything with a meter, and it was simply a battery that just had no capacity.The rig wouls pull start and run just fine, but it would not start with the key.
