Maybe dumb BUT, Is the river open everywhere

This may sound dumb because I have not fished the river this time of year before.

But, How much Ice is there left?

Is the river pretty much wide open now??

Hey not a dumb question- it is open south of the dam until around crow creek for sure- if you have any questions on river conditions call allens hillside hotel 1-800-435-5591- they are on the water everyday

I can't give you a specific answer on this, but I know that it has been accessible by boat for atleast the last three weeks.

I'm not sure about it- but the baitshop in Mobrige would know for sure. I dont have the number there anymore but they are in information- cant think of the name of the place either- sorry

today's report says that the ice will be gone in the Chamberlain area by this week end.

The Roosters sport shoppe in Rapid City reports, Oahe-open- saw a 22 1/2 pound nordern. Fish are eating well on 2 1/2 inch shad. Docks are open and ramps are in on Oahe. Water levels are rising daily.

Report from this weekend was absolutly brutal fishing conditions.

Water temps are way down from 2 weeks ago.

27" of snow in the Chamberlain region over the last 2 weeks.

Hope this doesn't jeopardize this years spawn too badly.

Better weather ahead, thats for sure, but that doesnt take much.
