Going to head out next week and they are talking temps in the fortys, was wondering what you all thought about how warm is to warm to run your sled in this warm weather? Don't want to lock it up.

Is your sled liquid cooled or air cooled? If it’s liquid cooled it should be alright as long as you have snow to run through. Because the snow will provide cooling to the cooling rails up under the tunnel were their located.

If its air cooled, I wouldn’t suggest running it over 32 degrees.

As long as you are jetted properly you should be ok.

Just keep moving, and in the case of a liquid, there needs to be enough water/snow/slush to keep the heat exchangers wet.

With a free air, again, keep the airflow moving.

In all cases, the slides need water snow to keep them from melting to the track clips.

Exactly!!! Air cooled sled motors just need air. If your hood has vents that can be opened it will help. We run air cooled sled motors on ultralights all summer long with no ill efects.Fresh air to the fan intake is the key.
