MARINERMAGNUM
Nice to see them starting to arrive! We're also flooded with RWB's and Robins. 50D+1.4 Teleconverter,1/1250th,iso
Steve Foss
Very nice hoodies in sweet light, MM. The diagonal slash of the ice/water edge is a bonus. Looks like spring is more than just a rumor in some places.

jonny_redhorse
Nice MM!....The water filled ditches in the "bog" (once it ever melts, hopefully this week ) are prime areas for these hoody's as they head north.....beautiful birds for sure! MARINERMAGNUM
Quote: Where was this shot taken? We're in north Iowa, about an hour from the Mn. border. There should be alot pushing through as soon as we can get rid of the ice. Varied groups are feeding in singular areas-I wasn't going to post this shot as it turned out less than ideal-the Drake Woody "popped" too much, but it shows variety. This was far off-2X Extender used here.
Dotch
I'm not complainin'! They all look like spring to me. Won't be long and we'll see some of the same guys and gals in the pond here.

MARINERMAGNUM
Thanks for the kind words! Unable to catch much for exiting ones today-no GGO's around here! I did scout a couple new places that will hopefully yield some new waterfowl faces tomorrow-if the weather holds out. These were both taken with a Canon 50D in sRAW 1 [7megapixel] 2X tele-extender+circular polarizer, @ 600mm,handheld.
