Does anybody have experience with these, I have never owned a camper trailer and I found out a week ago Im a proud owner of the tundra,according to my wife. SHE decided to help out her mother, its a 2005 only used 3 times im told. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like a 5th wheel. I would seriously have them send you a couple pics or at least the exact model so you can look it up. You may go out prepared to tow back a travel trailer and be sitting there looking at a 5th wheel and those hitches are a bit spendy.

I will be bringing it back from Helena MT. Her mother said something about the toungue of the trailer doesnt sit on a ball but slides inside the reciever.

Yep, something strange with that. If it slid into a receiver hitch that would make it rigid and you wouldn't be able to turn. You better get a picture, it's 2009, shouldn't be hard to get something sent before you go.
