Is the Jiffy Ripper blade faster than...

I need to replace the auger assembly on my 1995 Jiffy Arctic Blast. Does the Jiffy Ripper blade with serrations on it cut faster than the original (non-serrated) one? Both are chipper style blades.

I think they do, but ive only had limited experience with other blades. You could buy a whole new stx cutting head also. I hear those are the best.

Yes they do and last longer.

Jiffy doesn't sell the STX auger assembly by itself. If you know who does let me know. Jiffy says you have to buy a whole new auger. I ordered a replacement auger assembly last week and specifically asked if it had the Ripper blade. The person said it did. When it arrived in 2 days it didn't. They'll gladly accept the return and ship me the one with the Ripper blade but that leaves me without a power auger for this weekend. I guess I'll have to fish with a buddy.
