I dont think aluminum should be a problem, as long as the builder designed it for the job it needs to do. I am going to go with an aluminum frame when i decide to build. I have heard about screw heads frosting up too, i am intrested to hear what others have to say. I would think if you can get it sprayfoamed into the studs it wouldnt frost up tho?

yea if you have it built by a experianced guy you should be fine. i mean they build aluminum car trailers that are enclosed so a fish house shouldnt be a problem. its going to cost a little more but IMO its worth it because it will last forever. i have that same size fish house and you will be really happy with that house especially if you build it yourself and make it how you want it. it will turn out really nice!

I have an aluminum house and I like it. Just make sure the one you buy has the hitch reinforced with steel braces where the V comes together and meets the hitch assembly (if you turn to sharp backing up, this area could break with just aluminum). If you have an issue with aluminum, it is very difficult to find a portable aluminum welder out in the middle of no where. Easy to find steel welders but not many aluminum welders out there.
