Boggs Tackle Maker

I've been looking at this tool as a way to improve my bucktail making. Does anyone have experience with one of these tools? I know they make a kit for .051 wire. Is this big enough to make musky sized baits?

i bought the hagen's instead of the boggs. so i never really used one much other than a buddy that has one. there used to be an extention for it to modify it for bucktails. i guess they stopped making it according to Brett at thorne bros. so i'd call him or Pat at thorne and see if it will work and what the limitations are without it. it involved cutting the base in half and bolting it to a table/board. your better off in the long run just getting the tools to loop them by hand, you have better control that way on where your loops end up from the beads and that. it's not tough if you follow my step by step post in this forum smile key is really quality round nose and oversized grips for easier wrapping. yes .051 is just fine but .062 is better for not kinking. but who cares, huh? your looping your own. wink good luck.
