Pickelfarmer
Anybody ever see those jars of pickled carrots and cauliflower and other stuff mixed in? Do they use the same recipe for that stuff as they do pickels? If so or not does anyone have any good recipes for that kind of thing? Dark Cloud
Here is my basic pickle recipe. You can pickle just about any veggie. With a firmer veggie like carrots you will need to blanch it for a few minutes, same with beans, cauliflower, ect...Remember this is a "quick" pickle recipe. It will not be canned or preserved. But will last a few weeks in the fridge no problem...http://www.fishingminnesota.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/1495878/
Dark Cloud
You actually got me thinking and now im gonna have to stop at the store after work tomorrow to get stuff for a batch. Next weekend we are haveing a get-together at our camp and the guys will eat anything, i'll test it on them Probably go with carrots, cauliflower, red pepper strips, green beans, some jalopenos, and extra garlic...
