I would agree with both comments above - interesting thing he told me is he uses old school Tuff-Line no less than 100 LBs for almost everything. He also said the smoothest quietest round braid is the new Stren Sonic Braid. I haven't used it yet but he said it rated pretty high as new product go.

I also tried Suffix braid last year and dug it.

I was considering giving Stren Sonic Brain a try on one of my new reels ... that was until I saw the diameter of the line. According to their HSOforum 80# test is 30# mono diameter equivelant. Many of the other line's 80# is 18# mono diameter.

Is the Sonic stuff that much thicker? If it is, I think I'll pass on using it.
