The feathers flew!

This Sharp-Shinned, I mean Cooper's or I mean, I don't know, flew into my Mugo pine and snatched a House Sparrow today. It has been very successful the last few days as more and more feathers are blowing around here. The one thing I like is feathers is the only thing left. You don't find bones, beaks, or even feet. I guess you can say it's a recycling machine.

That is a dandy female house sparrow, otherwise known as lunch. wink

My guess is sharp shinned hawk but will await the verdict from the experts. Whatever it is, it's doin' what it was born to do. Nice job of catching it in action. grin
