Big Buddy heater works awesome for me. Low light and you can use small pounders or bigger tanks. throws good heat.

Where do you find new milkhouse heaters? I've been looking for one. Reminds me of spearing with my uncle when I was a kid.

Here is a picture of a NuWay propane fish house stove in my 4 X 6 perm. It is a very reliable stove that provides quiet, adjustable, steady heat. It works great for heating up food on as well.

In my portables I use either the regular sized or Big Buddy heaters depending on the temperatures outside. Sunflowers in my pop up Eskimo or Clam houses make me woozy. In the Canvas Craft Northlander the sunflowers are fine because that type of canvas breaths. Due to the noise and air quality issues, Sunflowers are backups only for me.
