CrappieAttitude
I have a spark problem with my grizz... I don't have any. About two-three weeks ago while plowing, my wheeler just died. I was able to get it started again, however it cranked and cranked before it finally fired. Once getting it in my garage I took the spark plug wires off my plug and tried to see if I was getting any juice through my coil. When I tried arcing a new plug through my coil i wasn't getting anything. So, I purchased a new coil hoping that would solve my problem...Well to my dismay, it didn't. I know the CDI unit may be the culprit, however I am not quite ready to put another 350 bucks into a part if I don't need to. Any of you have other suggestions as to what may be happening? I would appreciate any suggestions.CA
piker007
make sure you didnt bump the kill switch. Clean all the wiring connections and make sure they are all connected. Check your battery ground. There are only 3 major components to the electrical sys. coil, cdi, stator so if none of that works check a certain online auction site for cheap used parts and try replacing them 1 by 1. Mark Christianson
My stator just croaked on my Kodiak. No spark no matter what I did.$450 to fix that mess.OEM stator was $550 just for the part.I ended up ordering an aftermarket one from RMStator for $140 off of E bay. CrappieAttitude
Kill switch isn't the culprit, but I have been known from time to time to overlook that before. I was thinking the stator as well. I am going to get it in a warm shop this weekend and disect everything with an ohm meter. And see what kind of wiring mess I can get into. Thanks for the responses thus far.CA
