H2O GPS Question

Question

When saving a wave point on a lake, can u name it something like "crappie hole" in the directory list, but only have a x appear at the marked spot on the lake, instead of the hole name which makes it hard to see the lake depths ect after a few spots are saved.

Iceseeker.

you are correct,i understand how to name the waypoint, but when you give it a name, the name also appears at the spot you made the waypoint on the lake, i would like 2 just have a x or dot or something at the spot marked, but also be able to name it more specific for the directory.

You can save a waypoint without a name. If you changed the symbol to say a green X for a crappie spot and a red X for a walleye spots. On Atv trails I save good spots with a treasure chest symbol and save them with out a name.

Yes.....go to "Menu" ....."Map Categories"....and deselect "Names"

The Waypoint list will still have the waypoint name in the list, too.

And, thanks for asking the question...I've always meant to figure that out
