Hey COOTER, (or anyone) I am going to have my grandson up for a week from Aug 16-21st. I have a cabin on the holcombe flowage but that lake has gone to h--- the last couple of years and would love to take him somewhere where we could tangle with some bass to take pictures and maybe sunfish to eat. I have my boat up there and could run anywhere no problem. Any suggestions. My son and I floated the Flambeau a couple weeks ago and managed one small mouth. Pretty slow.

Muskybuck - Give Popple L. a try. Its just west of Jim Falls - take Co.Y west from Jim Falls, go roughly 1.5 mi. and turn north(am not sure what road that is). Is a small lake and easy to fish. Lots of 10-12 in bass and decent bluegills, will catch the occasional bass 17+ in. Throw small surface lures in the evening. Marshmiller is often hit and miss, but is another option.

Thanks Guys, I appreciate the tips.
Fishing is my Grandson's biggest thrill in life (so far!!). Thanks again!!! If you take your kids fishing and and hunting you won't have to go hunting for your kids.
