lake maps

The DNR is the best you can do for free typically. Some lakes the DNR has maps for have been redone in recent years and the quality is much better than earlier versions. If you are willing to pay for them, there are a lot of sites that offer better maps, but it comes at a cost.

I use Lakemaster for a lot of my stuff, they offer paper maps of all of their high definition lakes. I have a few of them and love em cause I can bring them with on trips and if the fish aren't going in the spot I am sitting in, I find spots nearby that look fishy. If that doesn't pan out, I make more drastic moves.

Just be careful, I found a site out there that offers a service and basically take the DNR maps and tell you what kinds of weeds and bottom content there is, along with the DNR creel surveys, all of which is available on the DNR site. If I find that again, I think I might get in touch with the DNR because it seems like a bit of infringement on this certain site's part.
