The rounded end obviously goes in first. Put it up against the roof of your mouth as far back as is comfortable. On a multi reed call, the side with the different length reeds goes down, against the tongue. I bend mine a little bit to fit my mouth better.

To make a yelp, say "kee yow". That seems to be about the correct movement of tongue/mouth/throat to make a yelp.

PLEASE NOTE: Practice in the car where no one can hear you. You may be thrown out of the house for makeing that "godawfullnoise!" blushgrin

I hear ya, I used to have the fever BAD. Still have it and hope I always do - the fever used to be to kill one and now its just to get out. I must be getting old!

But DO NOT practice while driving down the road. If that call gets lodged in the back of your mouth eeksmirksick while cruising at highway speeds, you're looking for trouble.

You can practice in your car, but make sure it's in your driveway.
