Joe15
I am wondering which gun you think is better as I am looking into one of these. Benelli r-1 or a browning Long Track or a Browning Short Track in 308 caliber?
koonie
This may not help much. All three are solid top notch guns. If you get a chance to shoulder all three you will know which one is best for you.
Cold_blood
ditto to what koonie said but if i had the money i'd go with the r-1 just cuz
N7709K
From what I have heard the bar is particular to the ammo that is run through it. I have never shot the benelli r-1 or a bar, but the benelli is lighter and feels better in my had.
picksbigwagon
what are you looking to do with this gun? Have you considered an AR-10 in 308?
Joe15
My uncle wants to hunt coyote with it and is giving up on his AR

WaveWacker
I own a BAR (older model) and in my opinion it's the best rifle you can have. The best that I can figure the .308 is only a short trac. I may be wrong. Is it only going to get used for coyotes? If so, man a .308? I'd look down to the .243 but hey, to each his own.
