My Uncle liver near River Falls, and I wanted to take a trip that way this summer and do a little fishing. I just got a new boat, he was thinking of going to Lake Michigan. Is a 16 foot Lund explorer ok for that lake. What other good Walleye lakes are in the area, thanks Chad.

I'm trying to think where River Falls is. And without having to get up and get a map, I'll ask you. Where is River Falls?
As far as lake Michigan goes, I fish out of a 16' Alumacraft with no problems. A bilge pump is a must! When and if waves splash in the boat(they will!), you'll need to get the water out. Other than that the only thing you need is alot of COMMON SENSE!! Watch weather reports and and know your capabilities. Basicly it's pure common sense for the most.

not much for lakes in the r.f. area, i would try lake pepin, st. croix out of prescott , and the mississippi dam 4. lots of little non motorized dam lakes with crappies, bass, and panfish. excellent trout fishing in streams all over
