I was thinking the same thing before I read your post. My thoughts were based on our Oct. snow hunt in ND this past year.

Is there any one making their own decoys for the upcoming season? I was wondering what type of paint to use if to hand paint socks. Is it best to use a stencil or hand paint the decoys. I am more concerned with the blues. The snows are pretty easy to do.

For paint i reccomend krylon, i painted some blues with a stencil i made with krylon and have not had any problems.

I've used a stencil and it worked fine, don't buy one just make something that looks decent. Have some ventilation too, I think we started getting high the last time we made some.
