Paul
Shot these in Hastings at the water falls with my 100-400 from the hill side. It was pretty early, still partially dark and snowing so i am happy with the coloring of the shots myself. These are the only two usable shots from the day. A while later on, I slipped and fell down the hill at Colville Park and got hurt and broke part of my lense hood which put an end to my excursion. I am now sitting 400 miles away back at home with a heating pad and advil. Lesson of the day, don't attempt to climb the hill of the railroad tracks to get closer to the shot. Anway here is what I Got.
MN Shutterbug
Cool shots. Sorry to hear about your mishap. Were there many eagles at the park?
Paul
about 7-10 all a long ways away. Would have needed a canoe instead of a canon to get to them. they were holding tight to the branches also.

MN Shutterbug
There must still be a lot of open water.
Paul
It is open all the way to town, and there are boats on the water. Black Dog Road on the other hand was frozen over almost every were and there were only a few swans on the lake, a juvy ealge and and fast flying hawk of some kind. Jim Almquist
Like the shots of the ice. Too bad the eagles are not cooperating so far this winter but maybe after this cold snap things will get better. Glad to hear it was only a lens hood and not he lens or a body. MN Shutterbug
Glad to hear it was only a lens hood and not the lens or a body. I think Paul said his "body" did get damaged.

Paul
Well today it feels like I broke a lower rib, but as Popeye once said, It only hurts when I laugh.
