Ice on the Vermillion River Falls.

Recommended Posts

Shot these in Hastings at the water falls with my 100-400 from the hill side. It was pretty early, still partially dark and snowing so i am happy with the coloring of the shots myself. These are the only two usable shots from the day. A while later on, I slipped and fell down the hill at Colville Park and got hurt and broke part of my lense hood which put an end to my excursion. I am now sitting 400 miles away back at home with a heating pad and advil. Lesson of the day, don't attempt to climb the hill of the railroad tracks to get closer to the shot.

Anway here is what I Got.

It is open all the way to town, and there are boats on the water. Black Dog Road on the other hand was frozen over almost every were and there were only a few swans on the lake, a juvy ealge and and fast flying hawk of some kind.
