Yeah lots of trails on the north shore- I've heard the trestle inn is worth a trip to and trail center is a nice place up the gunflint trail. We got loads of snow and you should be able to find someplace online w/ explore mn or the local tourism bureau.

I've been to the trestle a few times its a cool place. Also suggest going to Wildhurst just outside of Finland is a good place to stop also. Heres a link: http://www.wildhurstlodge.com/

A good place to stay is the American Inn in Silver Bay. Trails go right up to the hotel. Also it is only a couple years old. Theres also an American Inn in Tofte which I think has trail access.

You may want to stray from Bluefin if you want to ride from the resort. Riding out of Tofte requires you to ride the shoulder of the road out of town for quite some distance. Its a nice place and if you dont mind the shoulder, go for it. Not sure if there is a trail to the Americinn that is better.

Silver bay would be good, you can easily make the Trestle Inn for a burg and refreshment. You will have more "loop" options than in Grand Marais unless you don't mind riding back the same trail. Have fun there is tons of snow.

We always stay at Hungry Jack Lodge. The main lodge burned down last year but Forest is rebuilding it and the cabins are all in great shape. There are plently of great trails including a fun ride down do Grand Marais if you want. There are some fun bars in the area but we usually ride all day and end up drinking back at the resort so we don't have to drive after we've had a few. Also some great trout fishing in the area if you want to make it a multipurpose trip.
