Got the fish house today, now to put the beast together. Any tips on what i shouldnt do.

Read the instructions!! Don't guess at it. Then have a beer, smoke or whatever and read them again. Take your time putting it together.

A few years ago, I saw a guy that made an insert for his receiver hitch.

It came out 4-5' and hat a 3' "T" at the end of it that had a couple of boat trailer rollers on it. pulled it up on the rollers that were about 2' off the ground, then pulled it into the back o fthe truck bed.

He was an older guy, and it looked like he went and had someone fab it up for him special.

It was just short enough, that when he unhooked it from his hitch, it easily slid into the back of his truck.....

$30 for rollers, scrap metal and an hour of welding. Looked pretty cool, and made it so this guy could go fishing.....

If you can install a pulley on front of bed pull it up a ramp no lifting just pulling. A 3x6 sheet of plywood should be good enough for ramp. A pulley system Eye hooks in front stake pockets of truck with rope and pull in middle and of course rope from sled to pull back to you around your waist and pretend your a Clydesdale

This works great! Me and a buddy do this with our shacks. In fact he just bought a small electric winch for like $40 and now the winch does all the work. He has a ramp he made and I use a tri fold aluminum ramp! A lot easier on the back!

I have a Fish trap X2 and was haveing a hard time myself too. So I found two 2"x6" planks 6' long, drilled a whole in one end of each, put a good length of rope through and knotted it. Now I lean the trap on them, lift on the rope myself and lean into it, and wala, its in rather easly. Just another though as I go alone most of the time.

Best way I found without any pully's or ramps was to stand in the back of the truck and lift on the fish house's tow rope till the front of the fish house is on the tailgate then pull it all the way in. Or at this point get behind it and push it in. Standing in the box was my solution when there was glare ice and if you set the front lip on the tailgate the sucker would slide right off. Down side is if you have stuff in your fish house it will all slide to the rear of the fish house when you lift the front up onto the tailgate. Hope this helps.

It went pretty smooth with my daughters help, Either im not doing something right or these are a pain the neck to unfold and set up. I hope this wasnt a mistake to buy. I wil try to figure out the loading thing tomorrow, Thanks alot for everybodys ideas on how to load this puppy.

Now that its all together the only problem is getting the cover to fit snug around the sled, It just doesnt want go down far enough around the sled, But a minor problem until you tow it behind a sled or wheeler.
