The Legend of Timmy "4 chains"

Recommended Posts

Ok heres the story - It's probably 6 years ago by now but Dad and I are on a good batch of late ice perch on Onieda between Taft and Bernards bay. We did real well on a sat and stayed up there. Well Timmy joins us on sunday but decides to walk out of B bay instead of Taft with us. So we are driving up the lake in the early morning and see Timmy walking out onto the ice then we notice where his van is parked and instantly we both said "yep, he's definatly stuck" So we hit the ice and did a number on the perch. Timmy was sure his van would get out of there no problem. So we all bail around mid afternoon and told him we'd be down to help him get his van out. We get down there and sure enough, he ain't movin. I may be exagerating on the 4 chains thing but I know we had a tow cable and he had a chain and a strap I believe. Plus we had to borrow another chain from some nice guy that stopped before we were able to yank Timmy out with the jeep. Yep he was that far off the road... whistle
