Finding 7" bluegills tossed on the ice because they weren't crappies! I talked to the guys that were on that spot with their shack the evening before, they were looking for crappies and tired of catching bluegills. Me, I want to catch the bluegills. I was out there immediately the next morning at sun-up, I found 3 nice 7" gills frozen on the ice. I tossed them in my bucket and let them thaw in the water, then cleaned them with mine. This is a very small body of water, 5-6 acres or so, public pond. It is filled with many bluegills 5-8", I've never seen one larger than that, and some average to decent sized crappies. If I knew their names I would have tried to get them for wanton waste, they think they are doing the pond a favor by wasting the fish, it really makes me mad. Every time I fish this pond I see discarded small bluegills on the ice.

That is why I have the TIP # in my cell phone! If they are in a shack they need to have thier D.L.# or DNR.# on it take a pic call the #! Thats just me though! If they don't want to catch Gills they should find a new Body of water, or work harder to find the Crappies that are in that one. No one has the right to destroy the fish population, just because it's not what they are fishing for!
