bait storage - bait wall.......

ok so been working on getting things cleaned up and going to start going thru baits here in the next few days. i have the perfect room to spread all my gear out and peg board should be a great start for a bait wall. the only issue is i know i have way more baits then this wall will hold......

so i have been brainstorming on new ways i could add more space and maybe even add some mobility so when i am working on some bigger projects this winter things can be moved in bulk.

here is what i came up with - use sawhorse backets but use longer 2x4's. maybe around 6.5 ft or so to get things up to about eye level. put some plywood/chipboard for backing. use maybe some 1x1 strips run across to hang hooks from. put some sort of wheels on the bottom to make it mobile. end up with a large musky bait wedge with wheels..... maybe even have room from the sides to add a base deck to hold some smaller tackle boxes and stuff.

any thoughts? better ideas? or am i just nuts?

styrofoam sheets from menards. hooks sink in easy and stay really well. also leaned against a wall and leaned against each other with a spacer at the top.. not too thin. 3/4'' minimum or 1 1/2'' is better. hope this helps

Or just use pegboard panel and slide a hook though the hole. That might make things too easy for you though.

I have seen this in bait shops and one guy did this also where space was short. That was to build some brackets so you can take sections of peg board and mount them like pages in a book. Mount foam strips on one side of the peg board.
