Going to buy gps with lake map chip (help needed)

Hey Everyone

I am going to purchase a gps for and dont know what to buy. I am thinking a lowrance h2o or something of that nature. would someone be able to give me some advice on what to buy? i am using it for fishing and hunting but really want to be able to use the lake chip or whatever. can you actually see the cursor as you walk on the lake over the structure etc.. i am pretty un-educated on these so any help would be appreciated. my e-mail is also [email protected] thanks

I would recomend the H2oC. It takes all kinds of chips and is easy too use. The color really helps when looking at the maps and is nice when using maps with countour lines and vegitation types. I have the lakemaster chip and mapcreate and like them both. I use the lakemaster chip for fishing and the chip I made with mapcreate for hunting.

Do a search on it too. There has been lots of discussion about that unit lately (all of it good).

Well, not all of it. It does seem there are plenty of discussions about H2Os with problems.

H20 or H20c with the lakemaster is my go to.

H2o is not the only unit to use lakemaster and other chips. I just got a garmin unit and am trying to decide what chip to buy (lakemaster or inland lakes). I know I will get one of them, ? is which one. So far I really like the garmin unit but need a chip!
